Kawaiwan Yaipupu

Kawaiwan, or Kawai as she prefers to be known, is a painter from the Highlands of Papua New Guinea from the Province of Enga.

Without much in the way of promotion, her paintings have been received in social networks as "captivating and inspirational". In a way, more like a breath of fresh air to the women and art lovers especially in a country where only a few very talented young women have had the privilege to showcase their art.

She has been developing her distinctive style and a good following through the Luk Save Art Show for the past three years.  Her subjects are predominantly the women and women's issues around her.
