O-Shen was raised in Morobe province, in Papua New Guinea. He is a famous singer in the South Pacific Islands and a voice for the grass roots people. One of the first to rap and sing reggae in Tok Pisin, one of the three national languages of Papua New Guinea. He's a polyvalent artist and song writer mixing American rap, Reggae, Raga and traditional singing. He's internationally known and played with various artists like Elephant Man, Third World or Black Uhuru.
