La astronomía es una de las ciencias principales desarrolladas por los Árabes, con el doble empeño de seguir el calendario lunar y de orientarse respecto de la Meca. Los trabajos de la Escuela de "Maragha" serán una de las pasarelas que habría de transitar Copérnico para hacer su revolución.
Astronomy is one of the major sciences developed by the Arabs, who used it to follow the lunar calendar and locate their position vis-à-vis Mecca. The work of the "Maragha" School was one of the foundation stones used by Copernicus to construct his revolutionary view of the universe.
