The Daara of Coki is the most important Koranic school in Senegal. Here 2,600 students of all ages receive a strict education. The film follows the daily life of young students devoted to the study of the Koran. It also takes a critical look at a form of education based on authoritarianism, and which still serves as a model for Senegalese society.
