Dora Bouchoucha is an English Literature graduate who began her career as a teacher. Today, Dora Bouchoucha is a producer of full-length and short feature films, documentaries, television broadcasts as well as being the founder and director of the Tunisian company, Nomadis Images. Dora Bouchoucha also dedicates some of her time to international film festivals, where she is a regular jury-member, and to the development of script-writing by authors from the Maghreb, Africa and the Middle East.
In 2017, Dora Bouchoucha Fourati is member of the International Jury during the 67th Berlinale International Film Festival. Between 2008 and 2015, she was the festival director of Carthage Film Festival.
