Der Film folgt vier jungen Libanesen bei ihren Versuchen, mit der zunehmenden Fragmentierung der Gesellschaft zurechtzukommen. "Beirut, Oh Beirut" entstand kurz vor dem Bürgerkrieg und scheint fast prophetisch in der Bloßlegung der Konflikte, die zum Ausbruch des Krieges führten.
