Forced to leave Algeria in 1994, following the systematic assassination of intellectuals by Islamists, and in exile in Marseilles, Denis Martinez, an Algerian painter of Spanish origin, dares for the first time to talk about the suffering endured because of his identity since Algeria's independence in 1962. Produced by Io Production and Image Plus. Shot in 1996 and again in 1998. Broadcast in 1999 on Planète.
